Looking at these numbers and comparing them to the current league table, there is an interesting correlation between the top 3 teams in the league (Chelsea, Liverpool, City) being in the top 5 of % success rate. However, the other 2 teams in this top 5 are Wolves and Leeds who currently sit 10th and 17th, respectively. Manchester City attempt the fewest numbers of throw ins per game, which makes sense given their possession and control based style. On the contrary, Watford lead the league in throw ins with 22.57 per game.
This early on in the season there isn't yet any correlation between league position compared to throw in success rate %. We will see come May/June if how this list has evolved and if in fact it does have any correlation to a team's overall league finish.
